Recent updates in Malaysia and my thoughts on those issues...

Perak

Pakatan Rakyat’s MB for Perak was booted out of office. Now, whether it is constitutional or not in the way the MB was removed from office, the fact remains that Mentri Besar Nizar Jamaluddin DOES NOT command the majority in the DUN. In my humble opinion, what the Sultan of Perak should’ve done is to call for state elections and by that, letting the Perakians decide on the fate of Perak. However much needed to be taken into account of what happened. How much will it cost for elections to be held? Would there be any surety that the allocations of seats will not be split closely? And while the election process is going on, the State be without a stable state government.

So what if 3 frogs jump to BN? If those 3 frog jump to BN, they get cursed like dogs, but if BN lawmakers jump to PR, you praise them for being smart. The person who started the frog issue was Anwar with his 916 plan. So the sword cuts both ways. So when you get cut by your own sword, the only person to blame is yourself. PR plans on doing roadshows in Perak to tell the people how the PR government was toppled. But explain this Mr. Anwar, why make so much noise about the 3 frog in Perak when it was you who planned 916?

Ex-Mentri Besar Nizar Jamaluddin is a decent man and he should not try to be the modern day Jebat. Patience is the key to success. Doing what is morally right sometimes isn’t necessarily the right thing to do. Wait for the next state elections, and if the current Mentri Besar from BN somehow does a good job in governing the state, I do not see why PR should be in charge. I vote for whoever that will do a better job, and not just by voting opposition for the sake of it. What he should have done is to step down (whether Sultan Azlan’s instruction for him to resign was constitutional or now) because in the end of the day, with all due respect Ex-MB Nizar does not have the majority in the house. So how are your going to govern effectively? You come up with a brilliant idea from Perak, and you cannot execute your ideas because the BN ADUNs voted against your idea. 31 and 28, which number is bigger? A 5 year old kid can tell u the answer.
